Local school holding food drive for community service project

BANGOR - It's the beginning of Catholic schools week And every year All Saints Catholic School in Bangor works on a community service project.

This year they decided to hold a food drive at Danforths in Hermon when they realized local food pantries shelves are running low this time of year.

All Saints principal Joseph Gallant said "Makes us feel great you know the kids really enjoy this for them to come out on a Saturday when they can be sleeping in bed or doing something else and certainly the parents who I'm certain has a hundred things to do on their day off we're definitely appreciative of that."

Their goal is to fill up each tub and distribute the containers to food pantries in Hermon, Bangor, and other areas as well.

They are also accepting food donations all week. You can donate anytime at the St. Mary's campus on Ohio Street.
