"The dogs that win best of show at west minster that's like winning the Super Bowl," said MaryAnne Cousins, who's taking her two Italian greyhounds to the show.
Go-Go and Felicia are two very decorated Italian greyhounds.
"Go-Go is a grand champion bronze and Felicia is a grand champion," said Cousins showing the dogs many ribbons.
Cousins has been showing dogs for the past 6 years, a love that stemmed from showing horses growing up.
"I started with the United States Pony Club out in Dixmont and eventually went up through the ranks there and became an a-rated pony cluber," said Cousins.
She transitioned to showing dogs, making it Westminster with Go-Go for the first time last year. To help her get there, she's dedicated many hours of training, hard work, and attending lots of competitions.
"Show, show, show ,show. Mileage. Show as much as you can and when you come out of the ring, really assess what you have done," said Cousins.
Dogs who make it to the Westminster Dog show have reached certain caliber.
"The judge is judging the dog on the standard...the way the dog is shown is also paramount as well," said Cousins.
Go-Go placed 9th in her breed last year, and this year she's just excited to be there again. This Felicia's headed to show as well.
"It doesn't matter if we win, we just want to show well," said Cousin's snuggling Go-Go.
