Two arrested for cocaine trafficking in Ellsworth

ELLSWORTH - An investigation into the importation and sale of crack cocaine in Hancock County has landed two people behind bars.

Maine Drug Enforcement Agents said they went to an apartment at 153 State Street Tuesday night after a recent undercover purchase of crack from the apartment.

 

They arrested Frankie Montero, 34, of Brooklyn New York and Vega Alta, Puerto Rico and Joshua Kane, 25 of Ellsworth. Both are charged with trafficking.

 

A 4 month old child and it's mother were there . Child protective services was called .

 

Agents said they seized approximately $7,000 suspected drug proceeds along with other evidence of drug trafficking.

 

The investigation is ongoing.
