Woman pleaded guilty to arson charges

AUGUSTA - An Augusta woman has pleaded guilty to setting fire to her own home.

Rebecca Poulin, 65, pleaded guilty to arson Thursday after being indicted by a grand jury.

Authorities said Poulin had been living with her husband in South China in September when they got into an argument about credit card debt.

He told her to get out and that's when officials stated Poulin lit some socks on fire before leaving them in the living room and going outside.

Poulin has already served 30 days in jail as part of her sentence. The rest of her 5 year sentence is suspended, although she'll remain on probation for three years.
