New Years Eve proves to be a quiet night for Bangor Police

BANGOR - It was a well-behaved New Year's for the City of Bangor.

That's according to the Bangor Police Department.

Sergeant Wade Betters said there was a great crowd turnout despite the cold temperatures.

There were also no significant issues in West Market Square besides the usual calls.

"We did have some problems at a few local bars before and after the ball drop," said Betters. "Probably, people had a little too much to drink."

Sergeant Betters added he is looking forward to everyone staying safe and within the law this year.
