Fire crews battle early morning fire in Carmel

CARMEL - Fire crews have spent Wednesday morning on the scene of a house fire in Carmel.

They were called to Mayhew Drive around 3:30 a.m.

 

WVII was told the people who were living in the home all managed to get out safely. No injuries are reported.

 

Fire officials said they saw flames shooting from the home when they arrived on the scene.

 

Departments from nearby towns also responded to help knock down the fire.

 

Fire crews remained on the scene late this morning, knocking down hot spots.

 

The Maine State Fire Marshal's office was also called to the scene to help look for a cause of the fire.
