Train derailment causes traffic issues but no injuries

EASTON - A train derailment this morning in northern Maine.

It was around 9:50 a.m. Wednesday when emergency crews were called to a stretch of tracks along the Station Road in Easton.

Maine State Police said a section of rail cars was being moved on the tracks when one of the cars derailed. It was empty at the time and no serious damage is reported.

However, it did cause some traffic issues as one lane of the road had to be blocked off while equipment was brought in to right the rail car and clear the tracks.
