The 8th grade class at Saint Michael School helped the Salvation Army hand out Thanksgiving baskets Monday.
Locals who needed assistance were asked to call the Salvation Army to reserve one of the baskets.
Students set up tables and were in charge of distributing bags to each person who needed one.
Student Jakob Varney said "We did a fund raiser getting food for a food basket that we're donating to people who don't have as much as we do."
Teacher Alyssa Benedict added "This has been going on for many years where 8th graders have partnered with the Salvation Army to help, and it's something they put a lot of passion into and get excited to know this is something they'll do every year."
Students helped prepare more than 230 bags to give out.
