Two men arrested on arson charges

SANDY RIVER PLANTATION- Two people have now been arrested in connection with an arson fire in Sandy River Plantation near Rangley.

The fire destroyed a bulldozer. The burned Caterpillar bulldozer was discovered in a swamp by hunters on Tuesday. The damage is estimated at $100,000.

 

It's owned by by Cousineau Wood Products of Wilton which owns the land and took it to the site to repair a road on the property.

 

An excavator was also taken from the work site but was not damaged.

 

Alexander Allan, 37, of Dallas Plantation is being charged with arson in connection with the bulldozer fire. His roommate, Devon Clark, 18, was also arrested.

 

Investigators said more arrests are likely.
