Maine State Police trying to locate a logging truck involved in an accident

HODGDON - The Maine State Police are asking for help locating a truck driver that caused extensive damage to power lines Friday morning.

Troopers said a witness watched as the truck towing an empty log trailer failed to round a corner on Route 1 near the Hodgdon and Cary Plantation town line and went off the road.

The witness said the truck snagged power lines but the driver didn't stop, tearing down four utility poles as they left the scene.

The truck is described as a dark, single cab with no sleeper and it may have damage to its trailer from the accident.

If you have any information you're asked to call troopers in Houlton at 532-5400.
