UPDATE: Murder suspect deemed competent to stand trial in Massachusetts

UPDATE: GROTON, MASSACHUSETTS - An accused killer from Rockport has been deemed competent to stand trial.

That announcement came following a hearing held in Massachusetts today for Orion Krause, 22.

Krause is accused of using a baseball bat to kill mother, his two grandparents and a woman who was caring for his grandparents. They were all found murdered last month at a home in the town of Groton.

According to court documents, Krause confessed to the crimes when police arrived on the scene. They also state Krause told a nurse he was a heroin user, although there's no indication he had taken the drug prior to the murders.

Krause grew up in the Rockport area and was known as a gifted musician.

The case will now be presented to a grand jury to consider whether he should be indicted on murder charges.
