BANGOR - A campaign on social media has hundreds of thousands of men and women sharing experiences with sexual abuse by writing two simple words.

This came after numerous women have spoken out against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Started by actress Alyssa Milano the "Me Too" campaign has taken over twitter and Facebook.

Over the past few days, thousands of social media users have shared two words "Me Too" in order to give people a sense of the magnitude of sexual harassment and assault.

Angel Shaw, Rape Response Services, said "So it really shows people who may not have actually been experiencing this or may not know that they know someone who has, it shows them that this is out there and it is real and it happens all the time."

Shaw stated she hopes this campaign provides strength in numbers for victims of sexual assault and that hopefully this can promote social change.
