The hospital will be releasing a series of seven videos focusing on topics such as eating disorders, bullying, and substance abuse.
The series is called Acadia Hospital CARES which stands for Child-Adolescent Resource and Educational Series.
Pediatric Services Administrator Chris McLaughlin said "We really wanted to reach a really broad audience. This video series is really specific to caregivers, parents, and educators...folks that are working with kids. It's really a how to talk to your teens guide."
The first episode was released Monday, focusing on suicide.
McLaughlin hopes the series will not only show warning signs, but also focus on how to approach the topic.
The other six episodes will be released over the next year.
