Burnham man pleads guilty to child porn charges

BANGOR - A Burnham man has pleaded guilty to using the internet to access and view child pornography.

David Cook, 60, was indicted in May of this year.

In August of 2016 the Maine State Police computer crimes unit received a report from Microsoft that a user had uploaded an image of child pornography.

When authorities executed a warrant and seized Cook's a computer they found 30 images of child pornography and were able to see he had searched the internet for child pornography dozens of times between March and August of 2016.

Cook faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
