Police say Orion Krause, 22, is responsible for a quadruple homicide.
Sam Read is following this developing story and spoke with a childhood friend who says he was in disbelief when he heard the news.
Wolfegang Boegel, childhood friend, said "I am in total shock. It's probably the most shocking news I've ever heard in my entire life."
According to our sister station, WBZ in Boston, on Friday Krause allegedly killed an elderly man and three women at a home on Common Street in Groton Massachusettes.
After the slayings, Krause, naked and muddy, walked to a nearby home and confessed to the killings.
Wagner Alcocer, neighbor, stated "I asked him where are your clothes and he says I left them in the woods." Alcocer added "He yells I need help, I need help and then he yells I murdered four people."
The district attorney's office said all of the victims died of blunt force trauma and this is a case of "tragic family violence."
"The guy I know would never hurt a fly. I mean he never, I've never seen him that angry. He never really got in trouble, he was just a good good man." said Krause. Krause is a 2013 graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School in Rockport and 2017 graduate of Oberlin College's Conservatory of Music in Ohio.
A statement from the school to it's students, stated "The nature of this crime is horrific, and the grief of family and friends immeasurable. And yet Orion is one of our own. We recognize that this news may be difficult to process"
Wolfegang has been friends with Krause for as long as he can remember.
He said the situation is unfortunate. "He was a brilliant guy especially musically I mean its just tragic."
