PROSPECT - Waldo County Sheriff's deputies responded to a deadly scene in Prospect Early Saturday morning.

Just after five in the morning, officers responded to the Prospect side of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge.

There they say they found a sedan that crashed just after exiting the bridge.

"It failed to negotiate the corner, and crashed into the cliffs on the other side of the bridge," Sgt. Nicholas Oettinger said. "[Deputies] found four people inside the vehicle; two were deceased."

Daniel Huntington, 39, and Sarah Brown, 37, both died in the crash. The other two passengers were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
