The Harbor House Flamingo Festival is an annual event that organizers call "a fun quirky community festival", and it kicked off this morning with a pancake breakfast and parade.
Events continue for three days-- and organizers say events like these are the epitome of a community coming together.
"I think my favorite part is seeing what people can come up with based on the theme. And it always amazes me what people can do with pink flamingos and with the theme for it all, so it's great," said Diana Novella, the Event and Community Relations Director at Harbor House.
After Saturday morning's parade, people were able to enjoy a carnival with food vendors and a craft fair.
The fun continues Sunday with a four mile race and a cocktail party, and a concert Monday night.
