A group of elementary-school age summer campers are learning about their first amendment rights this week at Viles Arboretum in Augusta.
Museum Director Rebecca Lazure stated "I hope the kids can really understand that they have a lot of opinions and they care about those deeply. And that they are able to express those because of some of the rights and responsibilities we have as part of the first amendment."
The camp was geared to fourth through seven grade level. Lazure said she believes the campers have been given food to fuel their thoughts.
