For 79 years it stood in the center of the town of Carmel. For 5 years it was closed until the new owners took over.
They have spent the past several months repairing all the damage done by time and weather.
Now they have officially opened the doors for business.
Owner Jamey Brown said "The sales have been crazy, a lot more than expected. I guess we underestimated how badly the people of Carmel and the surrounding areas wanted the Village Market open."
Brown said they have made an effort to keep many of the stores old features, including the wood floors so they could preserve the small country store look and feel while making lots of new additions.
