Maine State Police crack down on drunk driving

STATEWIDE - Maine State Police are cracking down on drunk driving as we head into the warmer months.

Troopers will be ramping up patrols in all 16 counties in both marked and unmarked cruisers. Police also said there will be an increase in sobriety checkpoints.

Authorities are hoping to warn people before Mainers find themselves in trouble. As the saying goes "Buzzed Driving" is "Drunk Driving."

The Hancock County Sheriff's Department also said it will have extra patrols on the lookout for speeders.
