ORONO - A driver rolled his car today around noon heading south on I-95.

Police were called to Exit 191 in Orono after reports of a speeding vehicle leaving the road and going into the woods.

 

Maine State Police, the Orono and Old Town Fire Departments responded to the crash.

 

Orono Police Chief Josh Ewing said "The car had rolled so many times, it was pinned in the trees, they had to get the trees out of the way and then use the jaws to extricate the driver."

 

It is unknown if the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The victim was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center. Officials said that the driver's injuries are non life threatening. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
