Two women arrested in two separate meth lab incidents

BURNHAM AND HOWLAND - Two women are facing drug charges following separate methamphetamine busts over the past week.

The latest happened Saturday night on the Horseback Road in Burnham.

Maine State Police said they discovered an active meth lab in a mobile home when they went to conduct a bail check on Amber Nayock, 29. She was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth.

Meanwhile, a second alleged meth lab was discovered Thursday in Howland.

Drug agents were called after the fire department responded to a report of smoke and a strange odor coming from an apartment on Westside Drive. Officials said they found the makings of a meth lab and arrested Kelly Moore, 52, on the charge of aggravated operation of a meth lab.

The charge was elevated to aggravated because it was operated in a multi-unit building.
