Hampden looks to keep it local

HAMPDEN - With budgets being tight, the members of the RSU #22 Education Foundation and local businesses are doing their part to help out the school system.

The "Keep It Local" Business and Community Expo brought together people from Hampden, Winterport, Newberg, and Frankfort to display all that they have to offer to support the students in the area.

"We're just grateful for the support of all these organizations and businesses right here they recognize the connection between a low cost program right here that supports the businesses and communities," said RSU #22 Education Foundation board member Jonathan Henry, "It gives right back to all the students here that we're serving and their teachers who are doing such a great job in such a great school district."

This event had such a positive reaction from the community. The RSU #22 Education Foundation is hoping to do an event like this again.
