Sen. Collins and King attend hacking hearing

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In Washington, both of Maine's senators are questioning top intelligence officials about the recent Russian hacking report.

Leaders of the CIA, FBI and NSA all took questions from U.S. Senators Tuesday afternoon.

While it seems only correspondence from the Democratic Party was released, Senator Collins asked FBI Director James Comey if anything was taken from the Republican Party.

Director Comey stated "There was evidence that there was hacking directed at state level organizations, state level campaigns and the RNC, but old domains of the RNC. That is e-mail domains that they were no longer using and the information was harvested from there, but it was all old stuff. None of that was released."

Comey was also asked if the FBI will investigate any possible connections between Russia and the Trump campaign and his answer was something Senator King took issue with. He said "Especially in a public forum we never confirm or deny a pending investigation."

To which Senator King replied "The irony of you making that statement here I can not avoid."

The declassified report was released last week.
