HERMON - The Bangor Savings Bank Peanut Butter & Jelly Road Trip Makes A Stop in Hermon

The Bangor Savings Bank team set out Friday morning to deliver nearly 19 hundred jars of peanut butter and jelly. The team made stops in Lewiston, Biddeford and Brunswick before stopping at the Neighbors Supporting Neighbors Community Pantry in Hermon with more than 450 jars of the sweet treats. the jars were collected in March during the banks food drive to help provide hunger prevention programs in Maine. Bangor Savings Bank Community Relations Officer Lisa Bird says "The donations came from our customers who took 'Selfless Selfies' in the branches" Bird said that anybody who donated had their picture taken, and Bangor Savings Bank doubled their jars.

The team from Bangor Savings Bank also delivered a check for one-thousand dollars to the pantry as part of Bangor Savings Banks 'Community Matters More' program.
