Craig Colson
News Director/Producer/Anchor
[email protected]Craig Colson became news director and anchor at WVII ABC 7 and WFVX Fox Bangor in December of 2012. He began his career in broadcasting in 1985 while working as a news photographer at another Bangor television station. Craig worked his way up through the ranks and became the main anchor for the nightly newscasts before leaving in 2009. At that point, he became news director for four local radio stations and delivered the morning news before taking on his current position.
Craig grew up in a "news family" and followed in the footsteps of his father who was also a news director and anchor. His brother is also a news photographer at a Boston television station.
Craig's career has brought him all over-reporting from everywhere from Washington D.C. to Red Square in Moscow, Russia. When he isn't reporting the news, Craig can be found taking on new adventures with his two daughters or exploring the coast of Maine in his kayak. His other passion is making furniture in his shop or just about anything involving the outdoors.

Lindsey Mills
Anchor/Reporter/Producer
[email protected]Lindsey joined the WVII ABC7 and WFVX FOX Bangor news team in January of 2012. Raised in Arlington, Mass., Lindsey graduated from Endicott College located in Beverly, Mass. where she majored in Communication. While attending college on the North Shore Lindsey ran the campus newspaper, the Endicott Observer, lead the Endicott Gulls field hockey team as Captain in the 2009 & 2010 seasons, and played for the women’s club hockey team.
For two years Lindsey worked at WCVB Channel 5 News Boston as an ENG producer and writer, while also filling in for various positions in
Chronicle, the station’s nightly news magazine. Additionally, Lindsey contributed to the production of two MDA Labor Day telethons.When she’s not in the field she can be found on the ice. Lindsey helps out with Brewer’s Youth Hockey Learn to Skate & Learn to Play program and plays on a men’s league team. She also helped to establish Brewer’s first youth under-12 girl’s hockey team.

Jared Pliner
Anchor/Reporter/Producer
[email protected]Jared Pliner joined WVII ABC7 and WFVX FOX22 in August of 2011, as a reporter. Raised in Marblehead, Massachusetts, Jared obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, magna cum laude, from The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs. In college, he served as news and talk director of WRGW, the campus radio station. Before that, he was a weeknight and weekend news anchor. From 2008 to 2010, Jared held internships across multiple divisions of ABC News, in Washington, D.C. and New York City, and at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court in Boston. Off air, Jared enjoys cooking, reading non-fiction and mystery novels and listening to opera.

Nicole Gerber
Morning Anchor/Reporter/Producer
[email protected]Nicole may be a Boston native…but she’s been proud to call Maine her home since June of 2010. Currently a morning news anchor, reporter, and producer, Nicole is living her dream in journalism, that she began at Emerson College. Before coming to ABC7/Fox Bangor
Nicole worked at the news desk at WHDH Channel 7 and in Special Projects at Fox25. She also spent time working for the Radio, Television, and Digital News Association, as a member of their digital media content staff. When she’s not on the air or working on stories, you can find Nicole coaching at CrossFit Bangor, or teaching dance to kids at Morita’s School of Dance in Hermon. Even though she’s up early to bring you the news starting at 6:30 am, Nicole is still a bit of a night owl, so you may even catch her out on the town.

Clay Gordon
Morning Anchor/Reporter
Clay was hired by WVII/WFVX as a morning anchor for FOX BANGOR's 7AM News Hour and as reporter for the 6,10 & 11 o’clock news in July 2011.
He graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington where he received his B.A. in Journalism. Clay has worked at Fox National News in New York, WTIU in Indianapolis and the Big Ten Network.
In his free time, Clay is a firefighter for the Holden Fire/Rescue Department in Holden and is an avid hockey fan.

Andrew Scheinthal
Weekend Anchor/Reporter
[email protected]Andrew joined the WVII ABC 7 and WFVX FOX Bangor News team in June of 2012. Raised in Houston, Texas, Andrew graduated from Suffolk University located in Boston, Massachusetts where he majored in Communications. From July 2011 to December 2011, Andrew was a student reporter for New England Cable News (NECN) and would take part in a live shot every Thursday for The Morning Show, covering topics from the financial crisis to the New England Patriots.

Kristin Hosfelt
Weekend Anchor/Reporter
[email protected]Kristin Hosfelt joined WVII ABC 7 and WFVX FOX Bangor News team in September of 2012. Pursuing a career in TV news has been a dream of hers since she first stepped foot in a news studio at 12-years-old. She has a true passion for storytelling and loves knowing each day working in the field, will be different than the day before.
She's a California native and a graduate of San Jose State University with a BS in broadcast journalism. She previously worked as a reporter, anchor, and producer for SJSU's student-run newscast, and interned at KCRA News in Sacramento, CA and NBC Bay Area in San Jose, CA.
When she's not in the newsroom she enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling. She's a Packers Shareholder, a cross fit junkie and she's always looking for the best place to get Mexican food.
She's thrilled to be here on the east coast and if you see her around be sure to say hello!

Erin Thomas

[email protected]Erin joined the ABC-7 and FOX Bangor news team in February 2012. She was born and raised in Presque Isle, Maine where she attended Presque Isle High School. While in college Erin interned in the WVII news room before working as a Production Assistant. In May of 2012, Erin received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Maine, along with a minor in Anthropology. When she's not out covering local news, Erin enjoys running, skiing, visiting with family and friends, and traveling around this beautiful state. She is especially interested in outdoor adventure so if you have a story idea, send it her way!

Karina Bolster

[email protected]Karina joined the WVII ABC 7 and WFVX FOX Bangor News team in March of 2013. Raised as part of a military family, she likes to consider Massachusetts as her "home-base". Karina graduated from Suffolk University located in Boston, Massachusetts where she majored in Communications. From January 2012 to July 2012, Karina was a student reporter for New England Cable News (NECN) and would take part in a live shot every Tuesday for The Morning Show, covering topics from current events to the "Trophy Town" teams.
Karina also has a huge passion for sports. While in college she interned for New England Sports Network (NESN) as a “NESN Daily” intern, as well as the TD Garden, working in the control room for the Bruins and Celtics games. Also as a former college softball player, she loves staying active and looks forward to trying some of the sports the Bangor area has to offer!

Aaron Jackson
Sports Director/Reporter
[email protected]Aaron began his career at WVII in March of 2008. He attended Old Town High School, where he graduated in 2004. From there he moved on to the New England School of Communications, majoring in Sports Broadcasting and Journalism. Originally a sports radio major, Aaron co-hosted a weekly sports radio show on WHSN called This Week in Sports while also doing play by play and color commentary of Husson Eagle sporting events. He also spent a semester as the stations sports director. After his sophomore year he realized he had run out of radio classes to take, so he began taking TV courses while also working at Stephen King’s sports station WZON. Aaron graduated from NESCom in May of 2008 with a degree in communications, and was named the top broadcast journalist of his class. Since joining ABC-7 and Fox Bangor he has won multiple Maine Association of Broadcasting Awards.
In his free time Aaron likes, surprise, to watch sports and play sports. From mountain climbing to basketball, there are very few sports Aaron doesn’t enjoy. He also likes traveling when he gets the chance, and is happy he has been able to pursue his passion for sports while staying close to his family. Brittany Devane

[email protected]Brittany Devane joined the WVII and WFVX news team as an Enterprise Reporter in August 2012. She is originally from Framingham, MA and attended school at Boston University. She came to Maine after spending the summer in London covering the 2012 Olympic Games for GoLocal Worcester, and has also spent time working for NESN as a Boston Bruins and Hockey East production intern, and WCVB Channel 5 Boston as an intern for Chronicle, the station's nightly news magazine show. She's an avid hockey and football fan, and loves spending time with friends and family back home, and exploring all Maine has to offer!

Bernie Rayno is an Expert Senior Meteorologist and Afternoon Forecast Manager for AccuWeather, Inc. Bernie was born in Beaver Meadows, PA, a town 45 minutes south-southwest of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. His interest in meteorology was sparked early--he was bitten by the weather bug in Kindergarten and soon developed an interest in snowstorms.

Melissa was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She spent most of her childhood outside, both in Pennsylvania and along New Jersey’s southern coast. Her curiosity of weather led her to study at Penn State University where she earned a B.S. in meteorology.
