Andrew Badillo joined the ABC 7 and FOX 22 sports team in August 2017.

Before ABC 7 and FOX 22, Andrew graduated from Quinnipiac University with a degree in broadcast journalism. At Quinnipiac, Andrew was a member of the school's student-run television station, Q30 Television, where he served as its general manager, vice president, sports anchor and reporter. He gained experience covering Quinnipiac Athletics and was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists and College Media Association for his work.

In addition to his experience at Q30, Andrew also gained professional experience at MLB Network and News 12 Connecticut.

Originally from Orangeburg, New York, Andrew is excited to get his career started in Bangor. He is especially eager to get to know the great local sports community in the North Region.

BINGHAMTON, New York/BANGOR - It was unsual to see Aaron Calixte have less than 15 points in game. More unusual, two other player stepping up to lead the Black Bears to an overtime win.

ORONO - Maine women's hockey finally beat rival UNH as the Carly Jackson made 28 saves in the Black Bears 3-0 win over the Wildcats.

HOWLAND - It's not everyday that you meet a basketball player with a nickname as bizarre as "The Human Microwave."

BANGOR - Husson women's basketball has flicked the switch at the right time.

CENTRAL - Kollen Bouchard had two points in the first half of Houlton's game against Central on Friday night.

DEXTER - PVHS boys basketball stays hot as it beats Dexter 36-35 for its ninth win a row.

HAMPDEN - Hampden/Bangor unified basketball came back from a double digit first half deficit to edge Mount View 85-76.
