Hillary Clinton displayed some fancy footwork Thursday after an audience member hurled a shoe at her during a speaking engagement in Las Vegas.
The incident -- during which she ducked and did not appear to be hit by the object -- happened moments after the former First Lady took the stage to address a meeting of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries at the Mandalay Bay resort.
Clinton later joked about it and many in the audience of more than 1,000 people laughed and applauded as she resumed her speech. A woman was taken into federal custody after admitting she threw the shoe, but didn't explain why she did it.
