'Videodrome' and 'The Fly' Star Leslie Carlson Dead At 81

Actor Leslie Carlson, best known for his work with horror director David Cronenberg, died at the age of 81 on May 3.

Carlson, who is perhaps best known in his starring role as the villain Barry Convex in Cronenberg's 1983 surrealist horror film Videodrome, was born in Mitchell, South Dakota in 1933, and began his career in acting on the stage.

'Neighbors' Moves In To Top Spot Above 'Spider-Man' At The Box-Office

Neighbors leveled a powerful blow to Spider-Man 2's gross earnings this weekend by claiming the top spot and knocking Spidey into second. It's not overly surprising given the typical second-weekend drop off for films released during the crowded summer season, but Neighbors could be a threat to Spider-Man 2 recouping its production budget domestically.
